Dunn v. Maras: During a routine delivery, the patient went into cardiac arrest as a result of alleged anesthesia overdose. Through emergent surgical procedures, the medical staff was able to save the baby, however, Mrs. Dunn suffered severe brain damage and spastic paralysis and remained institutionalized for the balance of her life. The amounts paid in settlement of this case are subject to a non-disclosure agreement.
Reported Decision: 182 Ariz. 412, 897 P.2d 714 (1995)

De Jong v. Dr. Greene: On July 25, 2005, our Plaintiff was catastrophically and permanently injured, including paralysis, as a result of a negligently and recklessly performed surgery, which fell below the standard of care for a similar medical provider in the same field, by a local doctor, individually and acting on behalf of Defendant Sonoran Spine Center, P.C. at Defendant Desert Samaritan Medical Center.
